BITS Pilani or the Birla Institute of Technology and Science is a private deemed university set up in 1964 in Rajasthan over a campus area of 328 acres. BITS Pilani is widely known for its engineering courses and ranks 25th under NIRF ranking 2023 for Engineering and 3rd for Pharmacy. The institute is NAAC accredited with an ‘A’ Grade. It is one of the first six institutes in India to be granted “Institute of Eminence” status by the Ministry of Education. The BITS Pilani campus is the oldest among the other campuses of Birla Institute of Technology and Science located in Goa, Hyderabad, and Dubai and many more. BITS Pilani Courses & Fees

BITS Pilani offers on-campus programs in Engineering, Pharmacy, Science, Management, and other streams. The university also offers Work Integrated Learning Programs (WILP) courses for working professionals and an online B.Sc program. BITS Pilani Admission Current Year

BITS Pilani admission 2024 is give an opportunity for  through its univeristy entrance test for all programs. 

The university conducts BITSAT in two sessions for admission to BE, B.Pharm, and M.Sc programs. Session 1 and Session 2 tests are held in May and June individualy

For ME and M.Pharm, It conducts the BITS Higher Degree (HD) online test and also accepts GATE and GPAT scores, individualy.

For MBA, BITS conducts the Business Analytics Admission Test (BAAT), and the final admission is offered based on performance in the BAAT, personal interview, CAT/XAT scores, work experience, and academic history.

Other Modes of admission for BE, B.Pharm, and M.Sc programs:

Board Toppers: The Institute will come up with direct admission to first rank students of all the central and state boards to the program of their choice, irrespective of their BITSAT score. While the first rank student in PCM stream will be look at for admission to any of the first degree programmes of his/her choice, the first rank holder of PCB stream will be look at for admission to B. Pharm. program only. 

International Students' Admission: Candidates with foreign passports and valid Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) scores are eligible to apply for admission. Such candidates are not required to appear for the BITSAT. Candidate should have a minimum aggregate score of 1160 (out of a maximum of 1600) in SAT (reasoning) (new format) which includes a Reading Test, Writing and Language Test and Math test.

BITS-RMIT Higher Education Academy: Candidates who seem in BITSAT can also choose the BITS-RMIT Higher Education Academy mode of admission. They’ll receive two degrees that are awarded separately and at the same time from both the universities, BITS Pilani and RMIT Australia.
